I'm considering switching my tool collection to Milwaukee, starting with a drill. The guys at work swear by the Milwaukee M18 Fuel series, especially since they use it for heavy-duty industrial tasks. I'm curious if the extra price for the Fuel version is justified when my use will mostly be around the house and for some woodworking projects. I've also been given a couple of XC 5 and XC 8 batteries, which is great. What do you think?

It's smart to wait for sales, especially if you already got batteries. The M18 Fuel is a bit overkill for small home projects, but if you do woodworking as a hobby, the extra power will really come in handy! Don't forget to consider what tools you might need in the long run.
For home projects, the M12 Fuel might actually be a better fit, believe it or not. At first, I thought it wouldn't be strong enough for daily tasks, but it surprised me. If your work is lighter, consider starting there!
Going for the Fuel version is definitely a good choice. A lot of users regret not upgrading to Fuel when they have the chance. If you're planning to use your tools frequently, you won't regret it!
