Hey everyone! I'm setting up a kitchenette in my basement and have some plumbing questions. We've got a plumbing hookup for the sink and dishwasher, and I'm a bit concerned about a couple of things. First off, is it normal for the drywall hole to be this large even though we're installing cabinets in front of it (specifically Ikea cabinets)? Secondly, does the plumbing hookup look correct? I've been told by someone on another forum that it seems off. By the way, the laundry room is just on the other side of the wall.

That hole isn’t normal, but it's necessary for the plumbing work. You'll definitely want to repair it before putting the cabinets up. Keep in mind that plumbers usually don’t do drywall repairs, so that’ll be on you or a drywaller to fix afterwards.

Ok, thank you so much!
