I'm gearing up to renovate my bathroom, and I've got this design in mind that includes a shower, a washing machine, and a dryer, along with a toilet. We currently have a separate toilet that I'm not a fan of, and I really want a full bathroom with a toilet instead. Now, as we get closer to starting the renovations, I'm feeling anxious about how cramped the space might be. I want to avoid having a shower in the main bathroom along with a separate toilet, which we currently have. I'm even considering moving the washer and dryer to the separate toilet area to have just a laundry room there, since it's pretty small (75x150cm) and wouldn't fit much more than the appliances. The bathroom layout is how it's shown in the last two pictures I've linked. Am I just overthinking it? Is this layout okay for functionality, or should I stick to having two toilets for future planning, especially since we're thinking about having kids? The toilet has to be placed on one of these walls due to plumbing constraints.

Have you thought about relocating the washer and dryer elsewhere? Having them in a laundry room instead of a bathroom could free up some space. Just a suggestion!
Honestly, it does sound a bit crowded. However, think about how you plan to use the space. Personally, I’d prefer having a slightly cramped bathroom with a separate WC rather than the other way around. Plus, having two toilets can be super helpful, especially if you plan on having kids later on.
You might want to avoid having plumbing on exterior walls to prevent freezing, especially if your toilet’s on one. If you can move the washer and dryer closer to the door, that could help with access. But consider if the dryer can vent outside, since it’s not as common in Europe. Plus, getting slim models might help with space, but just be cautious about their energy efficiency.
