Hey everyone! I'm working on finishing out a 2500 sqft home that's still incomplete in Texas, and I'm looking for some feedback on my budget. I've shared a screenshot that outlines my budget breakdown: the first column is for trades, the second is my basic budget, and the third includes some upgrade options. The property is pretty large at 10,000 sqft, but the main items already completed are the foundation, roof, HVAC, plumbing, framing, and electrical rough-ins (although I need to completely redo the wiring). What do you think? Am I way off with these numbers?

Honestly, it seems like you're underestimating a lot of the labor costs. I recently renovated a smaller space, and I learned that you might need to budget 2-3 times more for electrical and drywall work alone. Just a heads up!
If you're planning to contract everything out, your budget looks really low, especially for electrical, flooring, and kitchen updates. You might want to reassess those figures.

Thanks for the input! Yes, I plan on contracting out those items. Are the upgrade options also low for those categories?
