Is My Drywall Ready for Prime & Paint?

Hey everyone! I'm wondering if my drywall is ready to be primed and painted, especially since I plan to use a limewash paint. The contractor applied two coats of mud, did some sanding, and said it's good to go. It feels smooth, but I can still see some tape lines in places. I want to make sure before I start painting with this high-quality paint from Color Atelier. Here's a link to the image: https://imgur.com/a/EklQTG0. Thanks for your input!

I'd say it's ready for primer if you're okay with how it looks now. Just apply a couple of coats of primer, and you should be set to go with your limewash paint afterward. If you're hoping for a textured finish, now's the time to add that before the primer and paint.

It sounds like you've got a decent start, but it really depends on what level of finish you were aiming for. Generally, it might be okay for a minimal finish if you just want to slap some primer on it. However, if you want it to look good, those tape lines need more feathering, and the entire surface could use another coat or two to smooth it out. Ideally, it should have a yellowish tint from the topcoat. So, if you have some time, you might want to consider getting it touched up before proceeding with your expensive paint.
