Hey everyone! I'm a newbie after just buying my first home, and I'm looking for some advice on estimates I received for my garage. It's a 428 sq ft two-car garage. One quote I got is $2850 for epoxy flooring, $1950 for two coats of Sherwin Williams satin finish paint on the walls and ceiling, and an additional $450 for drywall repair due to some holes left from storage units. The epoxy quote seems fair since I got two others, but the painting and drywall costs feel a bit steep. I'd really appreciate your thoughts and suggestions!

I totally get wanting to save money. If aesthetics are important to you, but you still want to do the painting, maybe look into a sprayer for a smoother finish. Rollers work fine, but a sprayer can give you that professional look with less effort. Plus, it'll make the job go quicker!
If you're not planning to make the garage a gym or living space, you might want to consider doing the drywall patch and painting yourself. It's really not that tough and can save you around $2400! It doesn’t have to be perfect since you'll mainly just park in there and store stuff.
