I accidentally left my Hoya outside last night, and the temperature dropped to 38°F. I'm worried this might be a death sentence for my plant! Is there anything I can do to minimize potential damage besides keeping it indoors until the night temperatures stay above 50°F? Any advice would be really appreciated!

If you don’t see any blackened or mushy leaves, you should be in the clear! Just take care of it indoors for a bit. If you do notice any damage, you can prune those bad spots off to help it recover.
Generally, temperatures below 50°F aren't ideal for Hoya plants, but since it didn't freeze, it shouldn’t be a total loss. Watch for signs of stress, like mushy leaves, but as long as it looks okay otherwise, it should bounce back just fine. Keep it warm and cozy inside for now!
Hoya plants are surprisingly resilient! Even if it got a bit chilly, your plant should be alright. I have mine in a greenhouse where temps drop below that all the time, and they do just fine. Just keep an eye out for any changes in the leaves to be safe.
