Is My Insider Ratchet Slipping Normally or Is It Defective?

I recently got my hands on an Insider Ratchet and I've been really enjoying it so far. However, I noticed that instead of binding up, it tends to slip. I thought this was a built-in feature to prevent damage, but today I decided to test it out. I held the socket with my hand and, surprisingly, I was able to make it slip even when I applied what I thought was a substantial force of 60ft lbs. I guess I didn't realize how strong I could be! Should I consider this slipping normal behavior for the tool, or do I need to reach out to Milwaukee about a potential issue? I'm not using it for heavy-duty tasks—mainly bought it to make my life easier. Any insight would be appreciated!

Did you buy it new? If so, it sounds like something might be wrong with it. There are several videos out there of similar failures that show it's not a unique issue. I'd recommend reaching out to Milwaukee if it’s brand new!

Yep, just bought it at Home Depot.
