Hey everyone! I just bought an installation driver and I've noticed that the motor sounds a bit brushed, and there's even a smell that makes me think it might be too. I'm not super experienced with Milwaukee tools, so I wanted to get some opinions on this. Is there any way to confirm whether it's brushless or brushed?

From what I see on the box, it mentions a "Powerstate brushless motor." So it should be brushless. Maybe the sound and smell are just due to it running under load for the first time? If you're still worried, keep an eye (or ear) out for any sparks coming from the vents.
Your installation driver is definitely brushless. If you're concerned about it, I suggest posting a video to show what's happening. However, if you're noticing odd sounds or smells, it might be worth exchanging it just in case.
