Is My New Driveway Ruined After Getting Wet from Neighbor’s Sprinklers?

Hey everyone! I just had my driveway redone with new concrete yesterday at around 5 PM. This morning, I noticed that my neighbor's sprinklers accidentally splashed some areas of it. To make sure everything was even, I sprayed down the whole driveway, but now that it's dried, it looks a bit odd. Here's a pic of how it turned out: https://imgur.com/a/2ES25nO. I'm really worried—did the sprinklers ruin my driveway? What can I do to fix this?

I totally get your concern, but it’s important to keep the concrete wet, especially in the first few days. Water helps with curing, so if you keep the driveway moist, it should even out over time. And don't stress, stains usually fade!

As long as the concrete has cured properly, those wet spots shouldn't ruin it. Water is actually beneficial for concrete curing. If you're super concerned about the appearance, try scrubbing the stained areas with vinegar once everything is set.

No worries! Spraying water on your driveway can actually help with the curing process. It’s common to keep fresh concrete wet, and sometimes a bit of water from sprinklers isn't an issue at all. Just keep watering it regularly, and you should be fine!
