Is My New Garden Going to Survive a Week of Rain?

I just planted my first garden and I'm a bit worried! Next week, the forecast says we'll only have one sunny day with rain for the rest of the week. I've got a mix of seeds and young plants, including potatoes, zucchinis, summer squash, cucumbers, carrots, corn, beans, and tomatoes—all arranged in rows. I'm new to this, so I'm a bit anxious! Will everything be okay? Are there any precautions I should take?

No need to stress just yet! The rain might be spotty here in NC too; it doesn't always deliver as forecasted. If you're really concerned about the seeds, you could throw a tarp over them for some protection, but your starts should be alright.

You should be fine! A little rain can actually help your plants thrive, especially during the crucial seedling stage. Just make sure your soil drains well, and you're all set!

Haha, as a Seattle resident, I found this pretty funny! But seriously, I understand your concern. I just got into gardening too, and it feels overwhelming, especially with all the rain we sometimes get.

Nothing to worry about! With all that rain, you definitely won’t need to water your plants anytime soon!
