I recently realized that I might have misunderstood how to care for my polka dot plant. I thought I could water it every 7-10 days, which I did, and it seemed fine. However, I went on holiday for about two to three weeks and found out online that it actually needs more frequent watering, especially since I moved it closer to a north-facing window. Do you think it has any chance of surviving after being left for 17-18 days? I gave it 100ml of water before I left, while I normally just give it 50ml. If it's looking really bad, I might come home early to check on it.

There's a good chance your polka dot plant will bounce back after being underwatered. These plants are pretty resilient, and even if it looks droopy now, giving it some water could revive it. Plus, they’re relatively inexpensive to replace if it doesn’t make it, so try not to stress too much!

That’s a relief to hear! I really didn’t want to lose it since it was a gift. I’ll be sure to give it some extra love when I get back.
