Is One-Key Really Useful for Tool Management and Theft Recovery?

I'm curious about One-Key and would love to hear from those who have experience with it. Specifically, if your tools were ever stolen, did One-Key help you recover them? Also, I'm interested in how well the other features work, like remote lockout/tagout (LOTO) and tracking functions such as motor run time. What are your thoughts?

As a plumber, I rely on One-Key for managing my equipment, especially for major tools like propress. It helps me track crimp failures and successes, which is super handy. But honestly, I mainly use it to keep an inventory of my Milwaukee tools.

Honestly, I don't see much use for One-Key in real trade settings. Most pros I know don’t use it; it feels like a gimmick. I tried adding my table saw but had a hard time getting it to work, and the tracking is pretty limited unless you're within Bluetooth range.

Yeah, I feel you. I remember a Milwaukee rep trying to show off the app and all I could think was, 'Why not just push the button?' The whole ecosystem seems janky and not worth the hassle.

One-Key is great for tracking tool collections at different job sites. It can lock tools, but it's not exactly like LOTO. Just keep in mind, it’s primarily about knowing where your tools are rather than locking them down completely for safety during maintenance.
