Hey everyone! We just painted over two coats of drywall primer, but I'm worried that the primer has created a bumpy surface that's affecting our paint coverage. Because of the texture, the paint isn't filling in properly between the bumps, leading to an uneven finish with tiny white spots showing through. We're getting ready to apply a second coat soon, so I'm looking for any tips you might have to improve the finish. Thanks!

What type of roller nap are you using? A higher nap might help to fill in those bumps better and create a smoother finish overall!
Also, it might help to consider the sheen of your paint. If it’s too shiny, it could be highlighting those imperfections. Just be careful not to judge it too harshly before that second coat!
Have you tried seeing how it looks after the second coat? Sometimes the first coat can look bad but the second one really improves it. Just a thought!
