Hey everyone! I'm thinking about painting my bathroom floor, but I'm not entirely sure of the material—I'm pretty sure it's some type of linoleum or vinyl that's smooth but not wood grain. I'm curious if this is a viable option. I don't mind doing touch-ups once or twice a year, but if it's just going to look bad in a couple of months, I'd prefer to look for alternatives. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've not painted a floor like that myself, but I doubt it'll hold up. The paint tends to chip under regular use. If you're looking for a color change, it might be better to just replace the flooring—that's not too pricey, and the toughest part is removing the old stuff.
Sure, you can paint it, but you’ll need a good adhesion promoter, plus make sure the surface is stripped first. That said, are you really going to like the end result? I'd suggest checking out some new flooring options your local store has. It's likely to be a more lasting solution than paint.
Honestly, I wouldn't do it. Painting vinyl or plastic surfaces is rough because the paint usually won't stick very well, and it can flake off pretty quickly. You'll probably want to explore different flooring options instead.

Thanks for the insight! I think I'll start looking into replacement options; it sounds like a lot less hassle!
