Is Peel and Stick Vinyl Flooring a Good Temporary Solution?

Asked By WittyBuilder92 On

I'm looking for a temporary flooring solution for my kitchen since the current linoleum is in really bad shape—it's stained, cracked, and buckling. We're planning a full kitchen renovation in the next 5-10 years, and I want to know if peel and stick vinyl tiles are a decent option for the next couple of years. I've seen mixed reviews about their effectiveness and longevity, so I'm curious about any pros and cons. Are they easy to work with for someone who isn't very handy?

If you're just looking for a short-term fix and aren't too picky about perfection, I'd actually suggest considering rollout vinyl instead of peel and stick. It usually costs less and doesn't involve dealing with individual tiles, so installation is simpler too! Just a thought since you're not aiming for a long-term solution here.

I appreciate the suggestion! I'm mostly just hoping for it to look decent for a couple of years till we get into the real renovations. Thanks!
