Is Renewal by Andersen Worth the High Price Tag for Window Replacement?

Asked By SunnySkyWalker92 On

I recently got several quotes for window replacements, and Renewal by Andersen stood out with a noticeably higher price than the others. While I'm open to spending a little more for quality, I'm trying to assess if their price is justified based on things like their installation process and warranty. Has anyone had experience with Renewal by Andersen? Is the higher cost really worth it, or is it mostly due to branding?

I did end up choosing Renewal by Andersen for my windows, and while the price was high, I have to say the installation crew was top-notch. They handled the job quickly and professionally. Plus, the warranty being transferable is a nice touch if I decide to sell down the line. Just remember, their materials are also a composite mix, which some argue lasts longer than vinyl.

It's true, you do get what you pay for sometimes. If you're looking for a long-term investment, those fine details do matter!

That’s a great point. The composite material is definitely a selling factor. Just be sure to read the warranty details so you know what’s covered, especially for labor.

I had a similar experience; their sales tactics can be pretty aggressive and they sure know how to hype their product. While their windows might be decent, I think you’re overpaying for the brand and sales team. I ended up getting Pella installed and saved a ton.

And to add, their marketing is intense—like they want you to feel pressured to buy on the spot with the offers. Don't fall for that, it pays to shop around!

Exactly! I looked at Pella too and was super satisfied with the quality for the price. Definitely worth checking out alternatives.

Many believe Renewal by Andersen is just riding on the reputation of the Andersen brand without truly offering the best value. You can often find similar quality windows from other reputable companies for much less than what they charge. I’ve had friends go with other brands and get a great deal without compromising on quality. Kinda makes you wonder if it's really worth the mark-up.

Yeah, I totally agree. I've been in the industry and seen first-hand how the same product can be much cheaper from different vendors. Just because they have a flashy sales pitch doesn't mean it's the best option.

If it's a matter of peace of mind, maybe consider what warranty and service they offer, but do your homework. Many alternatives provide great warranties too.
