I recently had an HVAC company inspect my A/C ducts and handler. It turns out the previous tenants hadn't changed the filter in two years, leading to some mold growth in the ducts and blower. After cleaning everything out, I noticed the technician sprayed Kilz, specifically "Mold & Mildew," inside the ducts. I'm a bit concerned about whether that's safe. Has anyone come across safety info regarding Kilz being used in ductwork?

Once it dries, you should be fine. It's a bit unusual but not a huge deal. It’s meant to seal out mold, so it might actually help in your case.
It’s not a problem, but honestly, I think it was more trouble than it was worth. Standard practice usually doesn’t involve spraying in ducts.
Using Kilz was actually a decent idea for mold remediation! You might want to thank the technician for trying to treat the issue.
A lot of new constructions use spray inside ducts. If they did it intentionally for your situation, it might seem strange, but there shouldn’t be any harm from it, to be honest.
