I've been seeing Ted's Woodworking labeled as a "known scam" in some resources, but I recently joined r/woodworkingplans and they seem to promote it as a great starting point for woodworking resources. I'm just trying to figure out what's true and what's not. Has anyone had experiences with Ted's Woodworking or have any insights on whether it's legitimate?

I bought it once thinking it would help me build a crib for my grandson, but it was a waste of money. The plans were terrible. For better options, you might find better quality free plans on YouTube; lots of great woodworkers share their builds and the plans look more updated.

Definitely a scam. Many reputable sources have called it out, including some popular YouTube woodworkers. It's best to steer clear and look for more reliable resources.

Yeah, it looks like Ted's Woodworking is indeed a scam. People have reported that you get low-resolution scans of plans that are often stolen from elsewhere. A solid option would be to check out some well-known woodworking magazines instead; they offer quality plans and access to archives online.
