Is That Festool Rotex on AliExpress Genuine or Just a Scam?

Hey everyone! I came across this $700 Festool Rotex sander on AliExpress and it looks way too good to be true. I'm new to shopping on that site and I wanted to know if anyone has experience with buying tools from there. Are these products genuine, or is there a good chance they're fake? Also, do they sell new items? Appreciate any insights you can provide!

Honestly, I wouldn’t trust buying a Festool from AliExpress. Festool products are made in Germany, while most of what you find on AliExpress is manufactured in China. If you're looking for the real deal, stick to authorized sellers. You’ll get better quality and peace of mind that it’s legit.

If you're really keen on the Rotex, consider buying from a local woodworking store instead. Yeah, it might be pricier, but at least you'll have a place to return it if something goes wrong. Plus, it supports local businesses!

In my opinion, it's probably a scam. Just check the specifications list; it mentions the brand as 'XMSJ' which doesn't scream quality. If you want a good sander without the risk, look into alternatives like Bosch GET75-6N -- it's a solid option that's much cheaper.
