I'm considering upgrading from my Milwaukee chainsaw and want to know if the 18" model really packs more power than the 16". I've heard about some issues with the 16", and I saw that the 18" has a 40.9cc rating. Can someone clarify the power differences between these two models?

When comparing these models, the specs do show that the 16" has a 3hp motor with 2.8nm of torque, while the 18" runs on a slightly less powerful 2.85hp motor but boasts a higher torque of 5nm. If you're looking at power, the 18" has an edge because of that additional torque, which can really help with cutting performance. Also, if you can swing for the 20", it has the best specs with a 4hp motor and 6.6nm of torque, making it an even better option. You might want to hold out for it if you can wait a bit!
That's interesting about the specs! Do you think the higher torque of the 18" is worth it, or should I just wait for some sales to snag the 20" instead?
Great point about the specs! Also, keep in mind the 16" was released back in 2017, while the 18" came out in 2022. There’s a significant gap in technology, so the newer models might offer better performance overall.
