Hey everyone! As a home DIYer, I've been considering the 2.5 gallon Milwaukee vacuum because it's portable and fits with the pack out system. However, I'm also looking at larger vacuums that aren't pack out compatible. Some reviews mention that the hose is a bit short, which concerns me since I have projects coming up like taking down drywall and refinishing hardwood floors. After these projects, I'm not sure how much I'll use it unless I get another home. I'm curious if anyone else regrets their choice with this vacuum?

I picked up the 2.5 packout vacuum after hearing it has great suction and is quieter than my old Bauer cordless. It definitely lives up to the hype in terms of noise level! Just a heads up, the hose length could be a bit better though. I ended up getting the Bauer vacuum detail kit for about $20, which works great with the Milwaukee. It really helps me reach those hard-to-get spots.
I’ve used the 2.5 gallon for detailing cars and while I love it, the hose is indeed short. I’ve managed with the attachments that give me extra length, but it's a downside for sure. The hose diameter can also be an issue if you're planning to use it for larger remodeling jobs or projects, so keep that in mind.
Are there any hose extensions available for it?
I really enjoy my packout 2.5 vacuum! I use it for everything from car detailing to my construction job. The main selling point for me was the packout compatibility, and it doesn't take up too much space, which is a plus. Overall, I think it's been worth it for the versatility!

Yeah, you can buy longer hoses that fit, which is a good solution!
