I'm considering purchasing either the Dewalt DWE 7492 or the DWE 7485, but I'm curious if the DWE 7492 justifies the higher price. What are the main differences, and is the extra cost worth it?

Honestly, I wouldn't consider the 7485 since it's an 8" saw. I prefer a 10-inch for the cutting depth and versatility. Just gives you more options, you know? If you're going to invest, might as well go for the bigger one!
I've got the DWE 7485, which is the 8-inch model, and it's been pretty reliable for me. It makes nice, square cuts thanks to the fence. Just a heads up, though: it can't handle dado stacks, so if that's something you need, the 10-inch model (DWE 7492) could be a better choice. Also, keep an eye out for deals online, especially on Facebook Marketplace!
Got it! How’s the power on the 7485? Is it strong enough for bigger projects?

Totally! A larger blade definitely helps with deeper cuts, especially on thicker materials.
