I'm new to cordless tools and last used Craftsman's old 19.2 setup. Now that I'm looking to upgrade, I'm on the hunt for something lighter and more efficient for my home DIY projects. I want to replace my heavy drills with a shorter, lightweight model and I also need a compact 1/4" impact for upcoming tasks like a deck project next year. I saw that Home Depot has a deal where you buy batteries/charger and get two free tools for $299. Some people seem indifferent about the tools you get, but I'm interested in the 1/4" impact and the hammer drill. Do you think this deal is good, or should I wait for Black Friday? My plan is to upgrade my most-used tools while keeping the older ones for backup as they wear out.

You might want to check this combo out: Dewalt's hammer drill and impact driver set for $40 less with slightly downgraded batteries. It could be a solid option for you!
Dewalt tools are great, but if you're not using them heavily, Ryobi's brushless models might be a more budget-friendly option. Plus, Lowe’s often has similar deals worth considering.
I love Dewalt! They fit my hand better and are generally lighter. Their multi-tool deals are great for getting started without breaking the bank.
I used Dewalt for a decade as a contractor, and I recently switched to a brand new set of Dewalt tools after a lot of research. They're definitely a solid choice, but make sure they fit your needs. Only you can decide if they’re the right tools for ya.
I bought a Dewalt drill and impact combo about 10 years ago, and it still works great! My advice is to pick up a couple of tools each Black Friday; it's worth it to slowly build your collection!
