I'm considering purchasing a high-end sander and man, the Festool ETS 125 caught my eye! However, I'm starting to think it might be more of a lighter-duty finish sander instead of an all-purpose random orbital sander (ROS). Can anyone clear this up for me?

If you're looking for more versatility, the ETS EC 150/5 might be a better fit. It gives you more surface area, and the orbit size is perfect for both rough and finish sanding. I usually stick to grits around 150 to 180, which works well for what you are after, too.

It looks fantastic, but wow, the price is a bit overwhelming!
