Is the Gorilla 22ft Ladder Worth It for DIY Painting?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about getting a Gorilla 22ft ladder that's supposed to be super versatile, like a "24 in 1" deal. I need it primarily for painting the second floor of my house—the first floor is done! My main concern is safety; I have a real fear of heights and I'm worried about the ladder slipping back when I'm up high, especially since the ground is uneven. Can this Gorilla ladder be set against the house securely, or should I just stick with a regular V ladder? I'm tired of spending money to hire someone else for the job when I can do it myself with a good ladder. If this ladder isn't the right fit, any suggestions for a safer option? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

Hey! For your situation, having a ladder that can stabilize against the house is definitely gonna help. An extension ladder with a stabilizer is generally a better option for safety, and it'll support you better on uneven ground. Renting scaffolding could also be a good choice, as it provides a solid surface to work from. Just make sure your ladder is set up at a safe angle—so it won’t tip over when you’re up there! Good luck with your painting!

What do you mean by stabilizer? Is that something I need to buy separately? I’m pretty clueless about this stuff but want to learn!
