Is the M12 Stubby Worth It with Regular 2Ah and 4Ah Batteries?

Hey everyone! I'm curious about the performance of the M12 Stubby impact wrench when paired with standard 2Ah and 4Ah batteries. I'm not really interested in purchasing the 5.0Ah high output battery right now. Would it still be a good idea to buy the stubby, or should I hold off until I can get the 5.0Ah?

I used mine with a 4.0Ah today, and it handled removing and reinstalling four wheels without any issues! The 4.0 is definitely sufficient, and I personally don't see the necessity to get the 5.0Ah unless you really need that extra power.

Honestly, the 2.5Ah works great with the Stubby! If the 5.0Ah goes on sale later, grab one as a backup, but you’re perfectly fine to use the smaller batteries for now. It rips pretty hard with a 5.0Ah, but you'll get good performance without it until you feel like upgrading.

I think you'll be fine using the Stubby with the 2Ah and 4Ah batteries! I’ve used the 1st gen Stubby with a 2.5Ah HO, and it worked well. The new stubby should do just fine, especially if you're not pushing it to the max. If you ever decide to get the 5.0Ah later, it’ll definitely amp up the performance, but for now, you should be good with what you have!
