Is the New Gen 2 Quik-Lok Trimmer Attachment Different from the Old One?

Hey everyone! I recently started using the Quik-Lok system, which works perfectly for me as a homeowner. I'm considering upgrading to the Gen 2 Quik-Lok, and I noticed that the best deal includes the Trimmer Attachment. However, I'm a bit confused—does anyone know if this new Trimmer attachment is actually new or has it just stayed the same? It appears to have the same model number. Can Milwaukee possibly update a tool while keeping its model number the same? If there are changes, what are they and do they matter? I'm planning on selling my old Quik-Lok head and one of the trimmer attachments, but I'm unsure if I should just part with the new one instead. I think selling a "new" item might be better, but should I keep it instead?

I just got the new trimmer attachment as well, and I compared it to my old one—they are identical. No changes there!

Thanks for confirming! That really helps me out.

I just upgraded too and got the trimmer kit for a great price. I used the old trimmer head with the new power head this week and it worked like a charm! It's basically a nice upgrade over the previous version. I decided to keep the new attachment for quick swaps when I'm running low on string; it's super handy to reload later without interrupting my mowing. And I'm hanging onto my Gen 1 head too—when folks hear you have a pole saw, they often want to borrow it!

That’s the exact upgrade plan I have in mind! Sounds awesome!
