I'm trying to decide between the old M12 die grinder on clearance for $220 and the newer model that I can get for about $170. I recall there were some complaints when the new die grinder was released, but I can't remember the specific issues. Can anyone share their experiences with the new model or suggest which one I should choose?

From what I've seen in videos, the new model looks fantastic! I’d say go for it if you need a die grinder. It seems to have a lot of upgrades. Definitely a better choice than the old one!
I just tested the new die grinder recently, and it performed great while grinding down some rust. No complaints at all, and it's way better than the first generation!
I picked up the Gen 1 on sale a while back, but I hear the Gen 2 is a significant upgrade. I've seen people say the new one really grinds well without stopping, so it sounds like the better option!
