I've recently started using the Plant Parent app to help me keep track of watering my new plants. It's a great tool, but I find the 'Smart Schedule' feature a bit confusing. It recommends that all my plants, like spearmint, thyme, monstera, orchid, and fern, should be watered every 16 days. Given the different watering needs specified for each plant, I would think that their schedules should vary based on the season, right? When I disable this feature, the recommended watering days fluctuate between 4 and 14, which seems off. I'm curious to know what schedules others are using with this app. Are you sticking to the app's suggestions or creating your own based on your experiences? Thanks for any insights! ❤️

Honestly, if you're watering strictly by a schedule without considering the plants' actual needs, you might end up overwatering them. Each plant has its own needs, so it's best to gauge based on soil moisture rather than just a timer. But I totally understand where you're coming from as a beginner. Having a schedule gives you a starting point!

I get that! I'm still learning too and need some kind of guide to start off with. I know orchids, for example, need less water, but it's hard to know how much 'less' that really is in terms of days. I appreciate having a base number as a reminder!
