I noticed that my local Dobbies has removed their plastic pot recycling bin, which I used a lot to get seedling pots. It was a great way to save money and reduce plastic waste. Does anyone know if recycling programs for plastic pots still exist anywhere? I'm particularly interested in Dobbies, but I'd appreciate any updates on other garden centers as well.

I checked their website and it says they continue the recycling service at all their locations. However, when I tried to drop off some pots last week, I was told they no longer accept them. I reached out to customer care to let them know their site might need an update, but I haven't heard back yet!
My favorite local garden center has these outdoor bins where you can leave or take pots. They might be a bit worn, but it’s a great way to recycle and find pots for your own use!
I’m not sure about Dobbies, but I heard that B&Q launched a recycling scheme last year. It might be worth giving your local store a call to see if they participate in that program.

Thanks for the update! That's frustrating. I’ll keep an eye on their website, but I might have to look for alternatives.
