Is There an Air Filtration System That Turns On Automatically After Power Outages?

I'm in search of an air filtration system that can automatically turn on after a power interruption—no remote or button required. I want it to spring back to life as soon as power is restored to the outlet. It's kind of like using a smart plug, but for the actual air filter. Does anyone know if such a product exists?

You might find a DIY solution works better. Like using a plain box fan with a furnace filter taped on. It's super simple and if you connect it to a smart outlet, it becomes exactly what you're looking for!

That's what I used in my last workshop too! It worked great—definitely recommend it!

Totally, a box fan setup might be your best route!

Unfortunately, most air filtration systems come with control boards that require manual activation. Your best bet would be to look for one without complex settings. I found a video of someone who bypassed their control board and added an analog switch to their unit. The process might help you, even if it's for a different reason. Check it out here: [Video Link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ivzk7YuZtNI).

Yeah, I’m starting to think there really isn't a product that fits the bill. Thanks for the video link—I'll take a look!

Honestly, your question was a bit unclear at first, but I get it now! You're asking for an air filter that just kicks back on when power returns—no extra steps.

Exactly! I want it to start running again automatically without hitting any buttons.
