Hey everyone! I'm not very experienced with range hoods and came across this 30-inch ducted under-cabinet hood by HausLane. I'm curious if it's worth the investment. I'm looking to stay under a budget of $700. Here's the link for reference: https://www.homedepot.com/p/HAUSLANE-30-in-Ducted-Under-Cabinet-Range-Hood-with-Self-Clean-Changeable-LED-in-Stainless-Steel-UC-PS38SS-30/319446000. Do you have any recommendations?

The specs on that hood aren’t too shabby! It mentions an equivalent airflow of 950 CFM and a lab airflow of 525 CFM, but be cautious—900 CFM is quite a bit for a 6" vent. Depending on how long your duct runs, the 525 CFM rating is actually solid. Just a heads up, if you're over 400 CFM, some codes require makeup air to avoid issues with gas appliances.
Make sure you get a hood that vents outside! It’s way more effective at removing smoke and odors.
Honestly, I'm not too impressed with that hood. It seems like a no-name brand from China, which might mean trouble if you need parts or service later. Also, keep in mind the type of stove you have—gas or induction—as that will determine the airflow you need.

I have an induction stove. What's the difference between equivalent vs lab airflow? I’ve never heard of it.
