I've spotted a small bug on my Schlumbergera plant during my daily checks, and I'm trying to figure out if I should be worried about it. The bug is about the size of a period, round in shape, and cream-colored with no visible legs. It's not moving super fast, but it doesn't seem sluggish either. It was found by itself on the upper side of one of the pads of the plant, and I couldn't find any others or any signs of pest damage. I'm wondering if it could be a spider mite nymph or maybe even a harmless bug. I've sprayed the plant with pesticide and isolated it for safety, but should I be concerned about this little guy?

It sounds like you probably don’t have anything to worry about! Spider mites are tiny, often the size of dust, and you'd need a magnifying lens to really see them, so it’s unlikely that’s what you have. Without a picture, though, it’s tough to say for sure—could just be some random harmless bug. Just keep an eye on it!

Yeah, I agree! There’s a lot of different bug species out there, and it could very well just be a stray bug. If there’s no damage and you can’t see more, you’re probably in the clear.
