Hey everyone! I'm really concerned about thrips after reading about their impact on plants. I just got a cast iron plant, and I've noticed some scarring on its leaves. I didn't spot any signs of thrips, but the soil was disturbed when it arrived, so I wiped the plant down. Do you think this scarring is just general damage rather than caused by pests? It's currently sitting in my garden while I decide what to do next. Here's a link to some pictures: [https://imgur.com/a/Me18ojJ](https://imgur.com/a/Me18ojJ)

From what I can tell, the scarring looks more like it came from mechanical damage or maybe just dryness, not thrips. I wouldn’t worry too much about it!

Thanks for the reassurance! I recently went from no plants to 27 in one room, so I dread any worse issues than just fungus gnats!
