Hey everyone! I just moved into a new house and I'm setting up a workshop in my basement, which is about 18'x18'. I'm considering upgrading from my current Craftsman 113 table saw, which I've fitted with an upgraded fence. I found a Delta Unisaw on Facebook listed for $750, and I'm curious if you think that's a fair price. I've also spotted a Laguna F1 priced at $600 and would love to get your opinions on both options. What do you think?

When it comes to buying tools, I always recommend getting the biggest and best you can afford. The Delta is a solid choice and checks all the boxes for a reliable saw. Just keep in mind that it has some downsides like a lack of factory support. If something goes wrong, you're likely on your own. Parts for older models are becoming harder to find, too. If you’re handy and don’t mind a challenge, I say go for it, especially since those extras can be pricey!
That seems like a decent deal to me! I picked up a 1950 Delta Unisaw for just $150, but it didn’t come with all the accessories. I love it—super precise and really improved my cutting speed compared to a track saw. Just remember, condition is key with used tools. Make sure to test things out: raise and lower the blade fully and check for any weird noises from the belts or bearings. If everything feels right and the price works for you, then it sounds like a good buy!
I think you're looking at a great saw here! Delta is generally better than Laguna, in my experience. Just to clarify, how much is that Unisaw going for again?
