Is This Fence Installation by Lowe’s Up to Standard?

I had Lowe's put in a fence on a hillside in my backyard, and I'm not sure if the quality meets expectations. The horizontal bars don't connect properly in most sections, leading to the use of metal brackets (see attached image). The contractor from Lowe's assures me it's fine, but I have my doubts about their long-term stability, especially since my neighbor and I paid about $8,000 for this and a vinyl section. Is this typical quality for such a job, or do you think they skimped on the installation?

Honestly, it doesn’t look great to me. Those brackets don’t inspire much confidence, and it seems like they cut a lot of corners here. You'd expect better workmanship for that price.

Same here, it looks really poorly done.

Agreed, I wouldn't feel safe with that kind of setup.

You should definitely contact Lowe's. They’re responsible for the work, and getting in touch might help you rectify the situation.

In short, it looks like you got exactly what you paid for—poor craftsmanship. It can be fixed, but it might cost you more in the long run.

I’ve put up a few fences, and this doesn't look right at all. If you paid a premium, you should have received premium work. It’s not what I would expect for the cost and effort involved.

Yeah, makes me wonder why they didn’t use longer boards to match the slope better.

Exactly, a little more attention could have made all the difference.

They probably used a cheap subcontractor from Lowe’s. If the workers aren't committed to quality, that's what happens. If you're adamant about your fence's strength, you should definitely consider reaching out to them for corrections.

I learned that the hard way when I paid too much for bad craftsmanship myself.
