I recently purchased a house with a garage that has a wall splitting it into two sections. I heard that in a similar house in my neighborhood, the garage wall is load bearing. I'm curious to know if mine could be load bearing too and what others think before I decide to take it down. Any advice would be appreciated!

Yeah, it would really help to see some photos! Without that, there's just no way to tell for sure. Just be careful when you’re planning to remove it, though!
You might want to check the attic to see if anything structural is resting on that wall. It's a good way to figure out if it's load bearing or not since if it supports anything above, it likely plays an important part in the structure.
Without any pictures or more details, it's tough to give a definite answer. Since another house in your area has a load bearing wall in a similar layout, there's a fair chance yours might too. Maybe consider getting a second opinion from a professional!
