Is This Year the Worst for Gardening?

Hey everyone! I'm a passionate gardener, but this year has been really tough for me. I've been gardening for about 8 years now, and last year I invested a lot of time and money into my backyard. I expanded my garden and planted a ton of new plants, and I was so excited to see how they would thrive. Unfortunately, this year has been a disaster. The weather has been terrible—there was a late start to the season, not nearly enough rain, and the heat has been unbearable. I've lost a lot of plants, including some trees and shrubs that I had really hope would flourish. I'm feeling really down about it and wondering if what I'm experiencing is normal. Have any of you faced similar challenges this year? I could really use some encouragement!

Yeah, I've noticed that gardening is getting more challenging each year. It’s like the weather can't decide what it wants to do—one minute it’s scorching hot, the next it pours down rain for days. It really puts a damper on things if you're planning for a stable environment. You're definitely not alone in this!

Absolutely, climate change is making things tougher for us gardeners. You might go weeks without any rain, then suddenly get hit with a downpour. Have you thought about installing an irrigation system? It could save you some stress and help maintain moisture in your garden. Good luck!

I appreciate the suggestion! I’ve looked into it, and I might just go for it. Thanks for the tip!
