Hi everyone! I recently picked up a Bosch Colt Router with the PR111 plunge base, and while it's performed well for me overall, I'm running into some issues. Lately, when I release the plunge mechanism, it doesn't come back up easily, and I have to manually adjust it down. It's not a dealbreaker for me since I mainly cut letters for signs and don't need to plunge frequently, but I'm worried that this could lead to bigger problems down the road. I've tried searching for repair tips online but came up short. So, I have a few questions:
1. Has anyone else experienced this with the PR111 or similar models (like the PR011)? Any success in fixing it?
2. Is this something common due to lack of maintenance?
3. If I decide to open it up for repairs, what cleaning and lubrication products are safe to use on both metal and plastic parts? Thanks in advance for any help!

I've got a Bosch 1617 with a plunge base, and I usually just wipe it down with denatured alcohol every now and then, then hit it with some WF40 Dry Lube. I keep it simple and don’t even take it apart. Just make sure to clean what you can while it's fully extended, then spray a bit as you push it down a couple times to keep it running smooth.
Thanks for the tip! So you're using the alcohol to clean the shaft first, then applying the WF40 as a lubricant on the same parts, right?
