Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on an aquarium and I'm really excited to start growing some underwater plants. The dimensions of the aquarium are 1 foot deep, 1.5 feet tall, and 3 feet long. I would love to hear any tips, insights, or advice you have on this. Thanks in advance!

I love working with paludariums and vivariums! If you're looking for inspiration, definitely check out Serpa Designs on YouTube. Also, don't forget about adding some shrimp to your setup—they're fantastic little helpers!
I haven't done it myself, but I really want to see what recommendations others have! You might want to check out some great resources on planted tanks, like a dedicated subreddit for that.
Setting up a planted tank is pretty straightforward. Grab some plant soil and stick your plants in there. You’ll need a water pump or filter to prevent stagnation and an air pump for gas diffusion. Let the tank cycle for a week or two before introducing any plants. Expect some losses at first, but don’t worry too much! And a grow light is a must. Little shrimp can help keep the tank clean too!
Great advice—thanks! I’ll make sure to get a grow light and some shrimp.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely check out Serpa Designs.
