Looking for a Door Handle Solution: Lever Outside, Knob Inside

0
Asked By xYz_4bLue On

I'm trying to find a door handle that allows me to enter my house from the garage using my elbow since my hands are usually full. However, I want the inside to be a knob so my child can't easily open the door. Does anyone know if there's a specific name for this kind of setup? Also, is it possible to buy two different types of handles and combine them into one mechanism?

You can actually mix different types of handles as long as they’re from the same brand. Just make sure that their internal mechanism is compatible, as they come in various shapes like square or 'D' shaped. So stick with the same brand and you're good to go!

Definitely check out the major brands. You’d want to buy one model with a knob and another with a lever, then you can take them apart and combine them. It’s best to reach out to the brand's tech support for the best advice on compatibility—sometimes customer service can help as well!
