Hey everyone! I'm diving into woodworking on the side, crafting large wedding signs up to 8x8 feet. I'm trying to figure out how to apply laser cut and UV printed decals efficiently, especially since some projects involve seating charts with hundreds of names! What I need is a projector or laser level that can throw a grid onto a vertical surface to assist with leveling and spacing. I've searched high and low but only come across standard laser levels. If anyone knows of a laser that projects grids instead, I would really appreciate your help!

I’ve thought about something like this too, especially for tile layouts. As far as I know, a dedicated grid projector might not be widely available, but I’d love to be proven wrong!
Yeah, I get that. It’s tricky to project an even grid vertically. If I find something useful, I’ll definitely share it!

I did a quick search for laser grids and found a few options. Just a heads up, you might need to align it carefully with a level surface since there can be some warping around the edges due to lens distortion. But hey, it’s worth exploring!
Totally know what you mean about edge warping! I've had that issue before. Most of my searches also lead to regular laser levels. I hope you find what you're looking for!

It can lock the tilt feature and is super useful for laying out glass walls and tiles. They also have a green option, which is great unless you're in bright sunlight.
That tool seems handy for leveling! I think it's just a standard two-beam laser. I’m on the hunt for something that can project a grid like 10x10 squares instead. It would really help with spacing my decals.
