Hi everyone, I'm seeking some recommendations for a memorial plant to place above my cat's grave. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to Haze, my British Shorthair, recently. We're laying him to rest in a spot in our garden, just behind his favorite place to lounge in the long grass, near a fence that's mildly shaded. I'm hoping to choose something that reflects his memory with connections to the name Haze, maybe something blue, or a native plant to the UK. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I totally understand what you're going through. I’d suggest planting some Nepeta, also known as cat mint, since it has nice greyish leaves and blue flowers. Plus, it might even attract neighborhood cats because they love the smell! It needs some sun, but partial shade should work just fine, and it's a great way to create a lovely spot in your garden.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Another thing to consider is the Rhapsody in Blue rose. It was bred in the UK and could pair beautifully with Nepeta if you want a mix. Just make sure that spot gets a little sun!
English bluebells might be a beautiful choice! They’re native and give a lovely splash of blue to your garden, fitting perfectly with Haze's name.
