Looking for a Non-Toxic Wood Glue for Floor Boards

I'm looking for recommendations on a non-toxic wood glue that I can use to fill in my interior floorboards. Ideally, the glue should be safe to sand down if needed because I have asthma and want to avoid breathing in any harmful dust or VOCs. It seems like most options at Home Depot are pretty harsh, so I'm hoping to find something better. Any suggestions?

Just to clarify, if you're looking at fillers instead of actual wood glue, be cautious because any dust, regardless of the material, can be harmful. It's good to use a vacuum during your project to keep the dust to a minimum, especially if you have asthma.

Yeah, I'm aware, I'm just trying to manage it as best as I can. Dust can really trigger my asthma!

You should consider that wood itself can be an irritant, so it's important to wear a mask when sanding regardless of the glue you choose. A half mask or N95 can really help minimize your exposure to dust. Make sure to clean up thoroughly afterwards too!

Most wood glues are actually non-toxic once they've cured, so you might be overthinking it! Brands like Titebond and Gorilla Glue offer PVA options that are safe. Just make sure to check the product details. You might be looking at the wrong kind of glue aisle at Home Depot!

I saw one that mentioned being toxic if the dust is inhaled. Just wanted to be extra careful.
