I'm in search of a mini-fridge for my dorm room. The last one I bought was really noisy and had a constant buzzing sound, which drove me crazy, so I returned it. I've been watching reviews and videos, but most mini-fridges seem to make noise too. Are there any truly silent options out there?

You're right that nothing is completely silent. Most fridges will make some sounds. I've stayed in places where the fridges were pretty quiet. If you're really sensitive, though, it might help to look for models specifically advertised as quiet. Some even have sound ratings you can check. And yes, just like @fReNzz_93 mentioned, many people just train themselves to ignore the noise after a while!
Honestly, those mini-fridges will always make some noise because of the compressor and the way they work. But a lot of people find they become unnoticeable over time, especially if you keep it on while studying or at night. If yours was really loud, though, it might have been defective. You could consider something with a different cooling technology that minimizes noise, like a thermoelectric model. Just be aware they might not work as well in hotter conditions.
