Looking for a Simple Single Chip MP3 Player

Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a straightforward single chip MP3 player that doesn't involve any microcontrollers or programming. Ideally, I want a chip that connects directly to an SD card, has buttons for previous/next track, and can output audio. If you know of anything like this, please let me know! Just to clarify, I want a pure audio chip without any additional microcontroller integration.

Check this out! I found a chip that could work really well for you. You can find it here: https://a.co/d/5sJekYd. Just look up the pinout, and it should be pretty easy to get going with it!

Totally agree! I've used similar chips for my mini 'vinyl record player' project, and they've worked perfectly for what you need.

If you're looking for a true single chip solution, try this one: https://www.vlsi.fi/en/products/vs1000.html. It's part of the Adafruit sound boards but remember, while it's a microcontroller, you don't need any extra microcontroller to run it. Just a heads up, decoding compressed audio usually needs a microcontroller, though!
