Looking for a Swivel Eye Bolt for My Dog's Setup
Asked by Z3nM0nkey23
Hey everyone! I'm trying to find a swivel eye bolt that I can mount on top of a post. My goal is to have it swivel 360 degrees freely. I checked at Lowe's, but all I found were standard eye bolts that screw into wood, which don't swivel. I'm considering options like using a regular eye bolt in a slightly larger hole for some freedom of movement, followed by putting in a washer and nut, but I'd rather go with a clean, dedicated swivel eye if I can find one. It's not for heavy use; it's just for my wife's small dog. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about using a swivel hoist ring? Though it's probably more than you need since these are designed for heavy loads. You could also just go with a regular bolt and create your own swivel setup with some metal and a larger hole for the bolt. Just make sure the hole is smaller than the bolt head and drill a spot to attach a carabiner. It’s a simple DIY solution!
