Hey everyone! I'm working on a project to create deck storage seating similar to the pictures I've attached. I've found that there aren't many detailed guides or videos out there to help with this, so I'm reaching out for some advice. I'm mainly curious about the best way to construct the internal frame for this seating. My plan is to use 4x4s for the front and back along the entire length and frame it with 2x6s. The seating will be a corner unit that spans about 10 feet long, connecting to another 10-foot section. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What do you plan on putting under there for storage? Just a heads up, if it's not waterproof, stuff might end up getting wet since it’s exposed. Also, using hinges can make the structure less sturdy, so consider that in your design.
Honestly, if you’re just framing things out, 2x4s should do the trick just as well. They provide good support without adding too much weight.

I'm not worried about it being waterproof at all! It's mostly for storing beach toys and clutter. I just wanted to replace this ugly broken plastic deck box I currently have.
