I recently got a Koolatron thermoelectric cooler from my mom, and I'm trying to use it with my solar generator to save on costs. The issue is that it doesn't have a temperature controller and continuously draws 60 watts, which seems quite high. I'm not really experienced with wiring, so I'm looking for some straightforward tips to control the temperature better. Any suggestions?

Just a heads up, thermoelectric coolers can be pretty power-hungry and not the most efficient! I've noticed mine draws around 60 watts too and only keeps things cool with good sunlight. That's why I'm looking into alternatives myself. It might be worth considering an upgrade to a compressor cooler if you're planning to use it a lot in the future but tinkering with your current setup could be fun!
Yeah, I definitely agree with you! I was also surprised by the power consumption, but I figured I could make it work for short trips. I might upgrade later depending on how it goes.
